❤Para Los Que No Entiendan La Canción “Wellerman”
Se trata de un barco que caza ballenas en los años 1830. En la versión original se refieren al ballenero como "WellerMan". "Weller Brothers" (o "Whalers") era una empresa de barcos que pescaban ballenas para hacer aceite con su grasa. Y cazar una gran ballena era mucho más rentable que cazar muchas ballenas pequeñas.
En la versión original, en vez de decir "Cuando cese nuestro cantar será hora de zarpar" dice "One day, when the TONGIN´ is done we´ll take our leave and done”, que traducido al español seria "Un día, cuando terminemos el TONGIN´ tomaremos nuestras cosas y nos iremos". Al decir "TONGIN´" se refieren a cortar la grasa de la ballena. Cuando dicen "Pronto el ballenero vendrá y azúcar, té y ron traerá”, se refieren a que ese es su sueldo, porque "Wheller Brothers" de verdad les pagaba con eso a sus trabajadores.
Al decir "Y el Ballenero clamara "CORAJE AL CAPITAN"" se refiere a que los "Wheller Brothers" iban al barco (que por cierto es ficticio y en la canción original se llamaba "Billy o´ tea") a pagarles con azúcar, té y ron y a alentar al capitán a que siguiera intentando cazar a la ballena. –

Dato curioso: Los Sea Shanties, que son este tipo de canciones de marineros; tenían un uso práctico.
Y es que los barcos de aquel entonces necesitaban de la coordinación de los tripulantes para varias tareas, así que la canción los hacía seguir un ritmo para trabajar coordinadamente.

Vivo en una isla y en una playa se encuentra un yate encallado en la orilla, el mar y la naturaleza junto con el tiempo han hecho de las suyas en el barco, la vista detrás de él es impresionante, sobre todo cuando se pone el sol. Está canción me transmite la misma sensación que siento al ver el barco encallado.
