Bicep really have been the artist to rush into my musical life over the last year or so, they really are something special. Love the euphoria, pulsing beats, soulfulness and heavy dose of early 90s acid house sound. My feet make me dance around my living room like a fool whether I like it or not when listening to this 😄

BICEP Q&A: How did you put together your cover mix? It's funny, we'd been digging for music all year, never really considering any of the music being mixed and hadn't actually DJ'd (obviously) in a long time. This is a small section of the musical spectrum we enjoy but a style we felt had lots of interesting new music. When we sat down to put together a more underground leaning mix of recent bits we'd been digging, we noticed everything was 140bpm haha. This mix is definitely on the tougher end of our collections. We wanted it to represent the sorta music we'd play in say Sub Club between warm up and peak time, that kinda zone where it's pumping but still restrained, almost tense. How does what you play on affect your style of DJing and what is your general process for finding music? We don't play vinyl anymore as it's just quite limiting actually for DJing the way we like to do it now as a duo. We love doing our own personal edits and remixes and having them fit to play the day of making them. We also love looping and kinda both being involved at the same time, so we would always play on CDJs when we're DJing out. Can you talk through some of the producers you've picked for this particular mix? Across the board, it's a fairly UK leaning sound with lots of new younger artists that are coming through. We're huge fans of Tom VR, really love everything he's doing, also into Otik and Arctor with their tougher yet melodic vibe.
