Great interview! I bet we'll look back on this "clunky Scotch tape" era with a sense of nostalgia. It's exciting when everything is an experiment.

I really enjoyed this conversation and look forward to more of them. There is a lot to unpack here but I relate to the conclusion when he said to not just rely on AI for your creativity, not because I think AI is going to make people less creative but because it can help bring more possibilities to other disciplines. I'm actually a huge fan of practical effects miniatures and puppets so I'm currently experimenting with how I can bring AI-animated characters into a world I've physically built, letting me focus on what the combined mediums can bring to the table together what they otherwise couldn't on their own.

On the legal and copyright side, I do wish people in the AI community would start clapping back on that a bit more, as I find a lot of the proposed laws and regulations to be dumb. They're either based in ignorance of how the tool actually works, or worse, proposed by big tech companies that want to use unfounded fear to pass legislation that they can afford to work around but the open-source community could not, in order to form a monopoly. That needs to be talked about more, in my opinion.

I kept wanting to turn the volume up. Make sure to normallise your videos so that the volume is standard.

Such a great conversation hereā€¦ Chad has a working screenwriter one of the big issues we have is wanting to listen to realistic voices including narration read back to us in character like a staged table reading but using AI voices and yet we are not there voice recognition and screenplay format and machine learning have yet to get there as far as being able to drop a PDF into a platform and instantly have voices assigned and play and you could actually hear me something come to life in a way that good old Siri voice never fit doā€¦ Any thoughts on this are appreciated

I think you can send me a message with one ok! Will do it.

I desperately want to make your course. But I'm struggling here on Brazil. The price is too high for just thinking in do it. The market here on my town is sadly dead. I'm a creative director for 10 years, and now I sold my own car to pay my bills and my rent. I really want to make this and start for the beginning on IA. It will make a life difference for me. If you see this, and I hope you will, I just want to make part for the community and give my best to create opportunities for me on new seas. Thank you.

As someone who works as a Director of Photography in film, this is terrifying. I can see so many careers/lives/families being destroyed by this. It feels like an entire industry is going to be reduced to a few great techys and a bunch of mega-wealthy studios who can afford the advertising. This feels like cultural suicide. This is incredibly depressing. I hope I'm wrong.
