He nailed it. I don't like the part where he mentioned some needing 25 years of therapy.

It is you,who have to take control over all the circumstances going on. Be it wound,be it healing.Be it therapy or be it sessions and medications. It is you who have to stand of your own for yourself. Initially you make be in quadrupedalism, then use walker, then may be you have to use a staff before finally again you start walking of your own. Believe in yourself coz its you who landed in the situation and its you who have to come out of the blackhole. Believe me though it is painful initially but you will be able to do it. Trust the timing..

Dr Kirk is so well-read, empathetic cool and handsome! This exchange made me cry. It is true that one can change their relational style but you need people who are consistent and educated on emotional intelligence theory.

Very informative. How can one go about finding a therapist that is familiar with attachment styles? I signed up with better help on the past and it was not helpful.

Can I ask if there is any self-help available for young adults with insecure attachment style that is affecting their daily life and career?

Hey so this kid, he’s my friend. But, the relationship isn’t good for me. I want to stop being his friend cause he’s a little bit annoying, and kind of like not a good friend. I don’t wanna hurt his feelings, cause I have a different friend and my diff friend is friend with the frenemy kid. What do I do? I don’t wanna hurt his feelings
