Foreshortening, as some of you may know, is that effect of things looking bigger when they're closer to the camera. Modern cellphone cameras aren't great at it, and to some degree, neither are computers, unless you know what you're doing. A wide-angle lens is great for foreshortening. Either way, foreshortening makes for good dynamic visuals.
