Cromwell destroying everything and Henry destroying the Monasteries, continues to devastate me.

it's an amazing thing to suddenly learn of the sheer size of these buildings being able to entertain several thousand people and just think of all the space needed for those Elizabethan collars

The queen came there with 1500 people… that’s ridiculous! I know nobility were big employers, but 1500 people (as a travelling party, she had more at home!) to get only one person through the day, that’s absurd. Something went horribly wrong after the Norman conquest.

Since the three day Time Team digs rarely actually find anything, are there any follow up episodes that revisit sites with actual discoveries?

What do they do after they dig up the structure walls? Fill it back in?

Sorry, but the "expert" is totally wrong at @15:19. Does he think the masons were fools back then? This curved pieces were formed in a mold just like every other brick. Why would anyone 1) hand craft every single one or 2) do it at a work bench? He pulled that nonsense straight out of his a$$.

There's no three dqys involved. These take weeks and weeks. If you want I can tell you a dozen reasons why.

Why would they need safety helments when they are in the trench scraping away and there is nothing above to fall and hit them. Just stupid british regulations I suppose.
