On Jews in Spain, I know a very affluent (generational wealth, old OLD money) from Spain. They've been Catholic for many generations, but it's kind of part of their internal family lore that they will tell you over a bottle of wine that there is big suspicion they converted from Judaism to Catholicism and basically changed their entire identity with new names and all way back when the pressure on Jews in Spain increased. How much truth there is to it, nobody, not even them, knows. But the very fact that a piece of family lore even exists and is offered as a piece of family trivia to closer friends kind of shows not only the fact of persecution of Jews in Spain but also that the Spanish are very much aware of that history.

Muslims āŖļø in totality give more reverence to other religions then Christians. For example the "House of the Virgin Mary" who fled to TurkiyĆ« š¹š· in her final days in Hiding from the Romans. Forgot the exact city yet was an eye opening experience and made me realize Muslims were no different in the sense of wanting a Place to pray and to upkeep prior remains of Prophet's or relics of the Faith.
Genuinely that aside do hope Turkiyƫ can return to some sense of stability and democratic peace. Easily was by far my fav country I had been too as a kid. Truly people felt as tender as Italians but light year better food and architecture.

The fact that so many people dont read any books, like any literature whatsoever, fills me with a deep sense of despair. How do you even talk to such people? What are well researched facts? What is scientific consensus? I have more success explaining such things to my 7 yeard old than cracking that nut. Of course, my 7 year old reads actual books though, so...
