I feel like a lot of little people get TV & film roles just cuz they look the part but this dude is a legit good actor. He delivers his dialog with some real top-shelf comedy flair.

It's really just par for the course in this film though as it's one of the best cast films I've seen. I'm never quite sure if a film is this tight due to direction or editing (both I surmise) but whatever it is, this is just one of those movies with crackling dialog and no real weak moments. Just a spectacular film all around.

Bravo!

Brendan Gleason's "Two manky hookers and a racist dwarf" is my nominee for the greatest line reading in movie history.

The look of sheer confusion at 0:09 when Ray starts waffling on always has me in stitches πŸ˜‚

i have a freind in her upper 50's from belgium who lives here in usa. shes very nice lady but very straight laced, volunteers at the locaal church etc. id seen this film (one of my eternal faves : )
as its set in belgium i suggested she go see it. so she and her equally straight laced hubby went and saw it. a few days later i saw her again. she said she'd seeen the film. i asked her what she thought. she said: it was weirrrrrrrrrrrrrrd... I thought to myself OOOPS. then later laughed my head off. i hadnt thought about that πŸ˜‚
also. a few years back i made my way to bruges. what a beautiful place. and was so fun going by all the places from the film and remembering all the scenes. was so fun

I've got this movie on a hard drive somewhere, along with all seasons of The Sopranos and The Wire. Looks like i'm gonna have to dig it out.

I knew a family, dad a dwarf, mum a lesbian, one son normal, one daughter a dwarf and one son autistic. Interesting people, nice people. They were quite content with their lot and full of love which was returned by their friends.

This film is beautifully scripted and full of intricate uses of language, some might say sophisticated.
My favourite bit is when he karate chops the midget though

This film was so goddamn good, we were inspired to make one of our own. It doesn't live up to how amazing this one is, but if you loved "In Bruges" then maybe you'll like "Gone, Tomorrow". Would mean a lot of you could give it a view. Cheers! All the best to everyone in these turbulent times.
