Being from Nashville, I remember in the 90's how the country music establishment was horrified that Shania was performing in outfits that showed her midriff. They wanted her to stop doing it. However they could not deny her talent. She was a trailblazer for all the country female singers that came after her. What an icon!

I looked up her interview on YouTube. Turns out she was dirt poor growing up. Couldnāt even afford to bring lunch to school. So music turned her familyās life around. Her parents died when she was 22. Car crash. So thatās partly why sheās down to earth. She understands the tragedy of life. And the blessing.
