Eurorra sent over one of their bespoke carbon fibre laptops for Linus to check out, but the wide Linus meme hand-crafted into the Linux laptop's lid may have been a bad omen...

One Linus creates Linux, one Linus destroys Linux.. It is the way of things.

I feel like "I broke this in under one hour" could be a whole series starring Linus.

I like that raised LTT logo though. That's actually something that I could see many brands wanting on their machines.

Quick tip nobody asked for: If you're booting linux and it's stuck on the logo, you normally can press ESC to see the terminal output to see at what step it stopped booting up. That way you can diagnose what's wrong with it. It's hilarious to me how linus manages to break linux without doing anything, although I have high suspicions that Eurorra fked with this. No way does a handcrafted, 80+ quality assurance steps laptop for $5000 have such blatant issues. The fact that Ubuntu errors basically from the boot up makes me strongly believe so. I believe the "custom" ubuntu simply means "we fked with things" ubuntu. It's hilarious though and seeing linus lose his mind over linux and breaks it whenever he touches it (or not heh) is just great.

Can we get a "is it faster to uninstall Linux, install Windows, download Steam, download a game and play it, or have Anthony fix Linux on this" follow-up video? Maybe call it Anthony vs Windows?

I love when a Sponsor goes out of their way to make their product look crap just to fuck with Linus! Colton has won another battle!!

10:43 "A portion of the proceeds of each sale go to the artisan who worked on the shell." Translation from Hipster Speak: "We pay the person who worked to make the shell." Glad to hear they pay their workers! Otherwise I would have thought they worked for free!

This is hilarious, thank you for trolling Linus for our pleasure, and also, that’s a lot of cool stuff you shove in there

I say a series of “Linux Tech Tips” with Anthony is needed.

I mean I was seriously laughing out loud at the effort and quality on the face stuck to the front. The commitment is just so hilarious and commendable. It's just such a solid meme that makes me laugh every single time. 🤣

Man I laughed so much, make Linus use Linux more often

I imagine Anthony setting up a Linux machine. He finishes. It runs perfectly. It games well. It handles productivity well. It's perfectly stable. Linus walks in the room. It immediately crashes.

Trivia fact : linus has already reviewed the same chassis 2 years ago, with an origin laptop who had a ryzen 9 3900 desktop in it. Having it, I can confirm:that's absolutely the same clevo chassis and even cooling system. 😎

I want "I broke this in under one hour..." to become a series or its own channel

It deffinetly looks like a Clevo, probably they made the internals! Would be interesting to see if they come up with upgrade motherboards!

As a Linux user, I felt this. I've been in a bunch of usability arguments as of late, and god, was it just painful how stubborn some people can be when you point out small issues that really should be polished and made easier for newcomers.

I sincerely hope this shows up in a future Intel upgrade type video as a "borrowed" from work item.

It’s such a breath of fresh air to see an old school laptop like this. A laptop with an ethernet port, user removable battery and upgradable ram.

While I love Linux, Linux definitely has a ton of issues for the average consumer. NVidia support is lacking in most cases as they just provide the bare minimum to get a display output unless you are running a business grade GPU, and configuration can be a pain unless you want to learn how to use the terminal. Personally I enjoy how Linux works, but I can definitely see how it doesn't work for people that just want to be able to download any game and go
