I'm glad they're finally making a movie of this book series. Danzi was one of my favorite Chinese dragons as a kid.

I read this book series when I was little. It was an interesting series that taught a lot of interesting cultural elements, so I hope they donât take all of that out. Also minor nitpick but I hope they keep the fact that the dragon sounds like crashing brass pots/chimes to those who donât have the dragon keeper gift, it was such a cool detail. It definitely looks like itâs taking creative liberties, which isnât automatically a bad thing, but I hope it doesnât take the things that made the story unique and interesting to make something generic and mass appealing. Like look what happened to dragon riderâs movie.

I enjoyed the original novel(s) by Carole Wilkinson, and by the look of it, the film adaptation will be enjoyable as well.

I absolutely loved this book, it's still on my shelf- but the original tale was so dark and raw and brutal, I don't know if this will do it justice.
