The biopic 'Back To Black' follows Amy Winehouse's rise to fame, marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil, and struggle with addiction. It's being released in cinemas today, but friends of the late singer have slammed it for being too sympathetic to Blake.

Blake joins GMB to discuss his thoughts on the film and the portrayal of his and Amy's relationship, and reveals that he would love to speak to Amy's father Mitch Winehouse, particularly after watching the new film about Amy's life.

ā€˜I had no one looking out for me eitherā€™ a very profound quote that people seem to forget

Amy would be proud of this man she shared her journey with...no angel or villian in this story...he presented himself so well in this difficult interview...

People seem to magically forget that Blake was struggling and ill tooā€¦ yes he played a role in everything but you have to give credit where credit is due and the fact heā€™s clean and speaking about his time with Amy is incredible x

Leave him alone. They were two broken young people who were in love. RIP Amy so missed.

I think it's pretty clear that Amy had issues before she met Blake. If people still question her ex-husband why does no one question her parents, particularly her Dad. RIP Amy

Amy already had an addictive personality before she met Blake. Blake was one of her addictions, from which stemmed some of the best song writing of all time. I felt it was courageous of him to walk away from the relationship after receiving counseling in prison and realising it was toxic co-dependancy. Just wish Amy lived long enough to find a relationship that could have nurtured her and to realise her dream of having a baby. All so sad. But, I donā€™t blame Blake.

I knew Blake after he split with Amy. The only reason Iā€™m commenting is because of some of the horrible comments here, although Iā€™m very glad to read all the nice ones. Blake had a lot of flaws when I knew him, he was arrogant and cocky, but it was so clearly a facade to cover his insecurities. He loved Amy and she loved him, even after their divorce they spoke for hours on the phone and he was so devastated when she died he nearly killed himself in his effort to numb the pain. Yes, heā€™s done some awful things due to his addiction, but that kind of regret and guilt only makes it so much harder to get clean and heā€™s managed it in spite of that; now he has to live every day knowing the things he did without anything to numb those feelings of guilt anymore. I didnā€™t particularly like Blake when I knew him, but Iā€™m thrilled to see him doing well and I wish him all the best.

Once people understand trauma then they will understand addiction a little more. Amyā€™s issues were established long before.

Anyone who thinks one person can make another person an addict doesnt understand addiction.

These interviewers are rude. Blake is trying his hardest here.

Time to leave this guy alone. Amy died from alcohol, not drugs and he was in jail at the time. Leave him be.

I hope Blake reads these comments hereā€¦so much empathy and compassion - itā€™s like weā€™ve all grown up and understand better. Hindsight is an amazing thingā€¦just a pity some donā€™t get the luxury of learning from it.ā€¦ Blake seems like a genuinely nice guy, he deserves continued peace & happiness. RIP Amy x

I don't understand how her dad could point a finger, he was there too. "And if my daddy thinks I'm fine", where did those lyrics come from. She wrote and sang from the heart. I pulled a daughter out of the grips of addition, it almost killed me, but she is here. It's a horrible disease, it grips the whole family. It becomes a battle to not let it win the child I gave life too.

Wow.. I feel embarrassed for the guy! The interviewers were very curt, judgmental & kinda rude. BFC on the other hand was well spoken, sensible, introspective and yeahā€¦ civil. They were both so young!

I knew Blake around 1999/2000 when he was a hairdresser in Kentish Town. He was very well mannered and full of positive boyish and youthful energy, almost naive in a way. Very well spoken. Very interested in others, curious about the world. He never once appeared to be interested in the fame game or being the centre of attention in any way. Camden was party central back in the late 90's early 2000's, and he would have started partying hard at that time. He was very impressionable and didn't seem to have a lot of self confidence.

Blake was never to blame. And I believe Amy would never want him to feel responsible. She loved him - flaws and all. They were two addictive personalities trying to find escapism from reality. And their individual reasons for doing so are their own.

Itā€™s just sad, for the both of them. Because Iā€™m sure ā€˜cleanā€™ heā€™s probably a decent guy. And I donā€™t doubt he loved her. They just werenā€™t the right people for each other at that time.

I don't like how he's being pushed into answering obvious questions. Shame on the presenters and the ITV.
