never apologize for raining background noise, I loved that!! and I'm so glad that you're transparent about your conversations with other designers and also calling out those that are unwilling to make an extra effort, I wish we'd see more of that from other knitters as well (not just about size inclusivity)!

I’ve been watching your channel since almost the beginning, so I’ve seen these…. But I must comment how utterly impressive it is to see them back to back. The Billie sweater and your gift knit colorwork sweater AMAZING! The time and patience (not to mention talent) you’ve put in to all of these! 😮 In my opinion you definitely suit jewel tones… I love that blue on you! If you don’t want to keep the sweater, do another in that yarn combo and wear it! It gives you that glow 😊!

I love seeing all the wonderful sweaters you have knit. I think the blue is the most gorgeous color on you and seems to fit well. I would undo the bind off of the sleeve cuffs and knit more inches, until you get the length you want. I just undid the bind off of a sweater hem that was too short and made the hem twice as long and it is perfect now. Hope your New Year celebration is great!

Rebecca I’ve been with you since the beginning..what a journey you’ve had!! When I watched you work the Billy sweater, I thought..she’s reached a turning point…she’s surpassed herself!! You went from knit~purl to knit~WOW! Never get rid of that sweater and always look to it as your first of many shinning stars!! Thank you for being a constant in my knitting excursions and a person I strive to emulate. Your enthusiasm is infectious and your loyalty to “ big girl “ knits and our inclusions into the knitting community \designers is exemplary and I appreciate it. Keep on going, girl you are amazing.!! Happy New Year!! Ps I haven’t finished this vid yet so maybe you show it..but remember your step{?}dads fair isle sweater?? There was another major jump in your knitting journey..beautiful work and I remembered how proud I was for you when you finished it. Lol

Love part 1, and looking forward to part 2. For your step father's birthday sweater, instead of making the whole ribbed collar wider, have you thought about reknitting it the same width but just adding stockinette rows on the shoulder parts of the opening to get the right opening size? And then knitting the original collar band size. I am thinking if you make the whole band wider it will make the front neck part feel uncomfortable and sit too high (much like the comments you had for other sweaters).

I had the same issue as you with the no frills sweater. The neck was just to elastic to support the weight of the sweater. I did a fairly easy fix, using single crochet on the inside of the neck to stabilize and tighten the neck, and i sewed in a elastic in the edge also. After a wash to tighten the rib back up, it looked amazing and now this sweater have been one of my favorites!

For your step father's sweater, knitting stockinette in opposite directios will not show. I've modified several top down sweaters by knitting more on neck to fix the fit and you cannot even tell where I made the transition. Love all of your sweaters and your podcast ! 😍
