Native New Yorker here. Moved to Florida in 1973! Every time this song played on the radio, I would cry for the New York I left behind. Can't explain New York to anyone who has never lived there or even visited there. New York City is truly unique in this world and this song captures it so well!

Omg..this wonderful song sure takes me back to the clubs in Austin..where we all would dance the night away and have oh so much fun..work all week then hit the bars with friends..sadly, some of those good friends are gone now, thank God I have my beloved memories of them and the love shared not only in 1977 but all the years I had with them and the magical times of the night life in Austin..what a time in my life I will forever hold dear to my heart and hopefully one sweet day see y'all again..ππβπΆ

A song which I think is quintessential New York and everytime I hear it I can just imagine the city with all its hustle and bustle. Luv this song, reminds me of the great music we had in the 70βs when I graduated from high school Life was so much simpler and we had a lot more fun doings that didnβt cost us any money....where have all the good times gone???
