It may just be too obvious for Raissa to bother to mention it, but I think Daisy's bracelet connected to the ring is supposed to symbolize how she feels shackled to her husband. Even if that ring isn't supposed to be her marriage ring

Iā€™d say if people want to see a more historically accurate version to check out the 1974 adaptation. Iā€™m okay with the modernisation of the outfits, but generally just not a fan of a lot of the designs of the womenā€™s costumes. I do appreciate how they captured the spirit of the ā€˜20ā€™s, and little Easter eggs like the Arrow Collar Man.

Maybe it is not the most accurate, but it is the one of the best adaptations imo, it makes you feel the story and the exaggeration of the charactersā€™ lives, same for the music, that is more ā€œmodernisedā€ that actual jazz music. There arenā€™t many good adaptations out there, but this was definitely a good one.

The wrap Daisy wears in that scene always looked like a fuzzy airplane neck pillow to me. šŸ˜…

Id like to point out a slight error, the word four-in-hand doesnt mean the necktie as a whole, but just refers to the type of knot that is used on a necktie. The modern necktie that is used both today and back in the 20s is called a ā€œLangsdorfā€ tie and can be knotted in many different ways, where four-in-hand is one of the methods.

I can't imagine anyone but Leo for this role. There may be more good looking and younger actors but he embodied it well. The rest if the cast including minor characters were perfectly cast as well.

Even though a lot of the fashion isnā€™t historically accurate, I do really like the fashion especially Daisyā€™s wardrobe even though she isnā€™t my favorite character. She did wear some really pretty dresses and her short hair went really well with the clothes.

"The 1920s continue to be present in the 2020s with the resurgence of Gatsby-inspired fashions and Jazz Age parties." So what you're saying is... you CAN repeat the past?

She failed to mention the British striped ties were , and are, usually called Regimental Ties as the different colors and pattern separation would show which military unit a man served in. In the US, they were/are called College Ties as some elite universities have a particular tie stripe or pattern.

Re the necklaces. I will always think of (Thoroughly Modern) Millie bemoaning how she has too much of a "front," and so her beads never lay properly.
