Summer of 1988, was the first time I heard grunge.
In Portland OR, a friend of mine lived in PDX.
He asked," you want to hear some under ground rock"?
He had a short cassette tape, that read, S.U.B P.O.P.
there were like, 4 songs from, different bands on it.
The thing that stuck out the most, to me was, the vocals of C. Cornell.
The song was, "Nothing to say"
Mud Honey and, Screaming Trees, were also on it.
From that one time, playing of that cassette, I became a grunge fan.
Still am today.

Summer 1992 in the most country place you can find in France (sous la Faye / Laviron / Doubs) my cousin made me listen to "a new band that rocks to the death". That was Nirvana. We listened to it all the summer. I bought a cheap strato guitar and learned everything about them and the other Grunge bands. Years later i made a band Mea Culpa during 10 years. Thank u to all these legends for made my life amazingly electrified ;)

Don't get me wrong, this is a great play list. However, there are way better Foo Fighters tracks that could've been selected. And let's be honest, there are about a dozen Soundgarden tracks that could've easily replaced anything produced by Screaming Trees or Mudhoney. Otherwise, perfection. Love it. Feeling nostalgic and warm. And feeling old. Hahaha

God I wish I grew up while these songs were coming out. I listened to them growing up but it would have been so cool to listen to them brand new ya know?
