I dont think music has ever made me feel the same way pilotredsun's music does. Absolutely one of a kind. Its so atmospheric and totally outstanding.

This is his first bandcamp song, specifically used for a test to make sure it's quality is the highest caliber.

I live part time in oregon. Cannon beach is so beautiful. I listened to pilotredsun on the drive over too, what a coincidence.

When I was really little I nearly drowned because I saw a starfish at cannon beach, on a rock, and slipped away to investigate it. It turned out that the rock had somehow removed the sand from beneath it, so I fell into the water around it. Fortunately my parents noticed. The last time I went to that place, I found the exact spot where it happened, still vivid in my memory. And dammit, the starfish was gone! Good times.

The low-quality makes this so much better at the beginning tbh

There was a deleted video on his instagram of him playing this on a grand piano

A sunset. The feeling of finishing an emotionally moving story or game. Resting. I love this track too much.

I'm tempted to say that I like pilotredsun the musician more than pilotredsun the animator (which is saying something because I love his videos). Re-visiting Achievement and going through the numerous singles he's released has made me realize that he's a legitimately great IDM/electronic producer and easily one of the best emergent artists of that genre in the 2010's. This song in particular is dreamy and sublime in a way that hits all the right notes for me. It's lo-fi and fuzzy in a way that makes it more atmospheric. When he releases his next album, I hope there'll be at least one track that goes for a similar sound.

The one on achievement sounds like happy gratitude, this one sounds like a heartfelt goodbye

Really like how different this is from the other "thanks"-track, being much more up-beat, sort of silly and cheery, but still with a driving force and good beat, while this is more down-tempo, synth-focused and much more chill. They are also in different keys, and the arpeggios on this version are replaced by a bass and small plucks on the other version. Also, the chorus-shift in this track is so beautiful. It hits just right.

I'm listening to this here and now in 2020 and it feels like a great end to a scatterbrained decade full of constant change.

This song has a really emotional and nostalgic quality for me, because I discovered it after enjoying Thanks for months.
