This song seems like it was written for meā¦ I lost my mom to dope & copd. From what Iām told she fell out (already high) and someone went to get a car and came back with her breathless ā¦. They then took 5mins to clean out the place and leave .. somehow they revived her , only for her to be in ICU with extensive brain damage , I had to make a decision to take her off life support cause she would never talk or walk again ā¦ the cops did nothing cause they thought just another junkie ā¦ my mom was my best friendā¦ its been 1yr 8months since she passed ā¦. She was 46 when she died , tomorrow Jan 4th would have been her 48th birthdayā¦didnāt even make it to 50 ā¦ everyday is a struggle without her .. this song is full of pain , awareness and acceptance and forgivenessā¦ most people donāt know that till itās gone

Coming out of the Milwaukee tour the other day. When MAMA was on, it broke me. Entirely. The way I interpret the song was while I did not go through something NF did, I am reminded to love my mom more than ever and to appreciate how she raised me. Time with her gets shorter each day.

My mom died to cancer earlier this year pretty young in her early 50s , and even though she was a great mother my whole life this song still touches me because she was in such pain at the end that Iām happy knowing her and god are together and that her pain is finally gone

I knew that I might get emotional when he played it live but I was 100% not prepared to break down the moment he started singing. My mom passed suddenly in March this year, 2 months before the song was released and she took half of me with her.. Just hearing it I break down, I can't imagine writing and performing this for millions of people on this tour. It hurts but I'm so grateful for all of his music. š¤

Saw you perform this live in Minnesota at the Target Field Center and it made me and my husband cry. This song hits home for him because his mom was not a very great person to him and his baby sister growing up and he's still struggling with his forgiveness today. š š¢

As soon as the family videos started playing at the concert, I knew what song was coming and I began crying. I also lost my mom in a bad way, so I relate to this song. Thank you SOOOOOO much NF for sharing your talent and emotion with us.
