Being 73 and an owner over the years of both a 61 R69 S and a 78 R80 I would love to see an R12 /2 ..SO the design takes from the first R18 going back to the Deco look of the 30's to 60's bikes but taller with an Earles fork on the front , . 200 miles range and a suspension for the crappy roads we all have to deal with ..I like the upright thing of the new R12 so posting is an alternative to a good suspension but why not have both .. :) The lower HP on the R12 may also bring less work on that amazing 1200 boxer and maybe better gas milage .. No need to have scraping pegs on a BMW though ..Looking forward to a ride .. Really I would love to see a modern R80 :)

NIce presentation guys. I got the RNineT 44 Anniversary Edition and it definitely is a conversation piece; there is hardly a day when someone does not comment on the bike, at a red light, the parking lot, etc. I use it in Bogotá, Colombia (10 million souls) where there are 750 thousand motorbikes registered (750, yes) and mostly all on the streets everyday; all this at 8300 ft above sea level. Lots of fun it is ! ( 😃 and 73 years young I am)

I think that BMW is with their game on and this increments are just leveling the strategy up to a higher placement of the bike offering more options to the specific segment. It’s awesome that the manufacturer keeps on improving but maintaining what’s decisive to conserve. I own in the present a R nine T scrambler and I love it even more, when I see that the concept in the essence is preserved in these new iterations. BMW Motorrad is evolving a lot of new work in continuity but without leaving behind what makes the brand characterful and in a certain sense, unique. That’s intelligent and smart at the same time!👌🏻
