I experienced pretty much the same thing including fixation on gout/pseudogout, with multiple dr, hospital and ER visits. Similar labs, and got multiple rounds of predisone, colchicine and even a cortisine injection into the swolen ankle which a nearly passed out from. Xrays, CT and MRI show I had a talar dome lesion and large os trigonum. I just had them removed this week, along with PRP injection. Holy smokes! What a miserable ride! At least the superfluous bones are gone. Time to heal! The iWalk crutch has been an invaluable tool during this decade long torture.

Thank you for the video! I have similar symptoms, although less swelling, though significant, and yes extremely painful. I started an exercise regime in a pool because I couldn't take weight bearing, use orthotics for the flat foot, and surprisingly found 20 minutes in the sun for my ankle to be of significant help (I live in the tropics). I don't have gout. Your video, using IR therapy at the area you show the Os Trigonum (instead of on top of the ankle), massage and manual movementnt of the non moving big toe have been of great help! Thankyou. I'm 72, it's great to get my mobility back!

I have the same on left foot, I have been complaining of pain since 2017 in left foot, was told it peroneal tendonitis. 2023 finally told I had os trigonum offered cortisone injection which worked temporarily. It causes SI back pain, abnormal gait, bouts of unable to weight bare. Constantly Swollen(not as bad as yours). Peroneal pain, throbbing. Unable to sleep with pain at times. Having another MRI soon hopefully they will surgically remove. So happy u don't have pain but your residule symptoms 😮 dont sound too good. Thanks for this video very informative

Thanks for sharing. I've been dealing with a similar situation for 6 years, with 8 or 9 flair ups. Finally found a doctor that would order an MRI, hopefully that will show something. Gout was pushed very hard by several doctors to me, I actually had a couple of my worst flair ups while on a strict Gout Diet. For anyone else dealing with this, get a doctor to prescribe Prednisone! For me Prednisone will give noticeable pain relief in just a couple hours. Make sure they give you at least a weeks worth, as a 4 day run isn't enough as I found out.

spent 5 hours in a&e other day after 5 months struggling to bear weight on my left foot/right ankle. they found Os Trigonum present in both feet but said it might not be the cause of the pain. however your video has helped to clarify so much about this syndrome and your experiences with it. I'm glad youre doing good and hope recovery is good in the future.
