MODEL FILES BELOW:

As someone who enjoys Lethal Company, I wondered if I could adapt the game's player character to a more realistic art-style. This is that process.

8:46 PHASE TWO: Another Piece in the Pipeline
12:15 PHASE THREE: A Dash of Colour

Thanks for the support from everyone! Now that this video has gained some traction, I should mention a few things:

- Realism ISN'T always better! The original game was developed with a specific style in mind and this is just my own adaptation for entertainment purposes!

- My modeller brain took over and blurted out that quads were ideal for game-engines. Quads are ideal for MODELLING, however these are always split into tris when imported into game engines because they play nicer with the renderer. Thanks to everyone that corrected me on this, my bad!

- I saw some people asking for a replacement-mod for the game, I don't know how to do it myself but feel free to try yourself with the model link in the description! Same goes for anything else you want to do with it, ideally with a little bit of credit. ๐Ÿ˜‰

- Yeah Inscryption's pretty sweet

Pretty crazy work, I do find the og models charming and prefer them as they are but this is quite the way to bring it to 'life' so to speak.

The Inscryption SFX are just so fitting here for Lethal Company.

Really appreciate the inscryption music, the atmosphere of that game is burned into the experience of the music for me so it gave the whole video that warm, slightly unnerving but ultimately calm aesthetic. The sfx were good too :)

0:46 All models when in engine pretty much always consist entirely of tris. This is because GPUs work best and are optimized for rendering tris. It's highly unlikely they modeled with triangles, but instead automatically triangulated their mesh. This can be done automatically by all major game engines upon importing or in your 3D modeling software of choice (In blender you can triangulate by using Ctrl + T for example) ^^

I didn't expect this video to be so educational about the process and workflow of modelling

If you ever decide to do a model from lethal company again, please do the jester. Itโ€™s such an interesting design that could use a visual touch up!

I know you said that you don't want to do just Lethal Company stuff, but even doing a Coil-Head would be really cool, and I feel like that in a more realistic render would turn the fear factor up to 11.

i was expecting at least 500k views and 100k likes but only 255 views and 47 likes?? The effort i know that was put into this video from the sounds to making custom visuals just for explanations is highly underrated, i cant wait for this to blow up and get the exposure it deserves, This video was amazingly done

When you use the stop sign weapon in the game your suit makes a squeaking sound meaning it might be made from silicon.

Super interesting video. As a 2D artist with no experience in 3D modelling, it was fascinating to watch and learn the process. It gives me a deeper respect for 3D artists. Subbed, excited to see more!

I LOVE that you explain how everything works in this. As someone trying to understand how to 3d model better this made things so easy to understand and unpack than most tutorials I've seen so far. I hope this pops off it deserves WAY more than a couple hundred views.

The use of the Inscryption soundtrack is so nice for this since Inscryption is what got me into learning 3D modeling!

Man this is an amazing video between the process and you explaining and you showing, You don't over explain anything you tell your thoughts. I've done 3D modeling for along time as a hobby and it's tough to learn all the skills between modeling, texturing, lighting , UV mapping, rigging, rendering, and you nailed it man. Keep up the great work!

Holy crap, the quality and overall production of this video is amazing! Your editing style is extremely unique, I haven't seen anything like it on the rest of Youtube.
Keep up the great work, I would love to see more video game characters or models re-imagined or made realistic!
