I’ve never loved a band like I love Manchester Orchestra, and it’s only grown over the years. The way they’ve progressed is quite impressive—it doesn’t always work that way. Progression is often disappointing, but I’ve never been disappointed in MO. Thank you for creating music that is in a way timeless.

🎶LYRICS🎶
Taking your very last breath
You are guided away from the garden
Hanging your arms on his neck
You said, "I love you"
Hangman, the butcher, their bed
Put your last bargaining chip on the album
Some people called it a "theft"
Others called it a "lapse" and "in time"
There's no rule, but you still break the rule
There's no rule, but you still break the rule
Mother, I'm scared that I'm sick
There's nothing on earth that can save me
Where is my savior in death
Waiting in the limousine?
I can see you, can you see me?
I can see you, can you see me?
(Found your rules hard to understand)
And how you melt down, you found out
You fell down, you won't tell
You can't help, you can't laugh
You won't yell
(How you just walk into my forehead)
You melt down, you found out
You fell down, you won't tell
You can't help, you can't laugh
You won't yell, you just know
(Then you finally make me tell you how to leave now)
You melt down, you found out
You fell down, you won't tell
You can't help, you can't laugh
You won't yell, you just know
(Twenty years into the foreground)
You melt down, you found out
You fell down, you won't tell
You can't help, you can't laugh
You won't yell, you just know
You're the roots in all my tea leaves
You're the roots in all my tea leaves
You're my roots and I've been teething
You're my roots, so now I'm leaving
Talked to the Angel of Death
Kept my sins in a separate compartment
Watching you bend as you wept
Let's destroy the limousine
Now that I've emptied my head
I am chasing you
Woah!

This is a great follow up to “Angel of Death”. I’m guessing this song didn’t quite make the cut on “The Million Masks of God” and they’re releasing it now. Similar to “I Know How To Speak” which truly is a masterpiece of a song and “A Black Mile To The Surface”. It’s amazing how this band has grown and changed over the years and their music just gets better and better. This is another great song added to their already long list of great songs.
