Thanks guys! :) My one ask is that you maybe go back & listen to the lyrics of I Hate It Here. If sonically you don't enjoy it that's totally fine, its just that A LOT of people have been giving her a lot of unnecessary & unwarranted hate for the 1830s line because they don't understand what she's actually saying. She's saying she would hate that period in time. I can understand how for some people on the first listen it can be a little off-putting but if you really pay attention to the context of the song, you know what she's saying. No hate whatsoever towards you guys but please don't write it off or criticize it so quickly.

In the future I highly recommend reading the prologue before listening to her albums, Taylor ususally explains the concept perfectly there. And on this album the epilogue was very much needed also.
Many people felt like you that they liked the second half better on the first listen, but then when they went back and listened to the whole album again, they realised the first half is so good and actually a little stronger, eventhought he second half has amazing songs. I for one, love the whole album and still have trouble picking favourites because there are zero skips. It´s truy a masterpieceđ

33:15 poor Marc I felt that too đ in all seriousness the 1830 line to me felt like Taylor was explaining a time when she was a âprecocious childâ the other girls were like wtf way to make the game not fun anymoreâŚ.. sheâs saying it wasnât fun in 1830 and it isnât fun now.
Fun fact: she was weirdly obsessed with that time probably because itâs when famous poet Emily Dickinson was born whom she is related to
