Sorry to say Chris but the biggest mistake you have made so far is that you didn’t upgrade the suspension in the back because of the use of steel instead of aluminum. With what you have right now is probably pushing the weight limits before you start putting in cabinets, storage, refrigeration unit, heating and cooling systems, water storage, waste storage, wiring and plumbing, windows, doors, and there still is things like cushions and beds, etc. To fix it now you will need to remove the shell RIGHT NOW before it gets too heavy to lift. Before you ask how do I know? 20 years experience of building recreational vehicles just like you are doing. Oh, you also might want to check on the center of gravity and make sure that it’s not too heavy, you’ll have a tipping problem. Not trying to rain on your parade, just wanting you and the gang to be safe.

I definitely would’ve went with more composite materials to build this rig, can’t imagine how much this thing weighs and not even having any interior done.

Today for Thanksgiving I am thankful for this channel, and all the effort you and your crew put into making these videos for us. Whether it's a crazy single-seater, an off-road Huracan, a drill-powered bike, a boat, or an insane off-road custom camper, we're here for it. Thank you!

If you add heat/ac to this box; I advise ducting your heat to come out of floor vents and the ac from the roof mount/or vents. That way the heat rises all the way through the box and the ac falls all throughout the camper. Love the series and I can't wait to see it finished. Also I'm very excited for the door, can't wait to see how it works!

Chris, mount these boxes with bolts. You will be able to remove them if it is needed. Also, in these gaps between you will accumulate a lot of mud and dust from the road, and that will rust. So I think it is better to have them removable.

The channel needs to be called "O is for Oscar".

I love this build but I really want to see it on a scale . One hell of an apocalypse camper but HEAVY seems like an understatement 😅

This thing is going to be too heavy to do anything... I was originally on board against the steel haters, but this thing is getting out of control quick. I LOVE the way its turning out, but I don't think it'll even be usable when its done...

Ive said it multiple times in the past and ill say it again, Oscar is absolutely insane with that welding gun. Props to the guy for all his amazing work, he really puts out some top quality welds.

This thing is going to weigh more than an M1 Abrams

I really hope your friend with the Porsche shop can get your 911 fixed. I bought my first 911 a few weeks ago and it's my absolute favorite car I've ever owned

I remember you mentioning earlier on in this build that you’ll be getting a bunch of lead acid batteries to use with a power inverter. Just wanted to throw out a quick suggestion that you go the lithium (LiFePO4) route instead; the energy density is far better, they weigh significantly less, have a longer life, and are just generally way less finicky/tempermental. Renology is a fairly popular brand, but I personally went a cheaper route and went with ampere time (I think they changed their name to li-time). Then I found a charger-inverter, which when plugged into shore power will automatically charge the batteries, then when on battery-only it switches to inverter mode. I also added another DC-DC lithium charger for when we’re on the road, so the tow vehicle can charge the batteries too.

I love this build from the start my only concern is tgat it's going to be too heavy. You should have used a combination of other materials to offset the weight

Looking great! Have you ever thought about doing a body swap with a new Audi TTRS and an old Audi Sport Quattro? I’d be so hype for that haha

For the tables you should have used draw slides like on your kitchen draws. Alot better alot smoother and stronger no legs required. Have a look at some of the Australian 4wd channels for some inspo

If this channel isn't renamed to O is for Oscar I'm going to riot! The dude is an absolute swiss army knife of a workhorse. He better get all the available raise budget dedicated to him.

Nice, personally would have built a steel skeleton frame, got it galvanised, and riveted alloy/composite panels on with marine grade sealer, but great build none the less
