"It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found." ā€”ā€‰Luke 15;11-32.

In 2016, Cody Rhodes left WWE and embarked on a journey to prove his worth to the wrestling world. Cody worked the independent circuit, travelled internationally and worked in New Japan Pro Wrestling for several years... and, most notably, battled with Kenny Omega over control of Bullet Club.

In January 2019, Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) announced the formation of All Elite Wrestling following the success of the largest independent wrestling show in US history - All In - which was organised and ran by Ring of Honor, Cody and the Bucks.

This short documentary showcases the frustrations that Cody and Dustin had with WWE and the reasons for their departures, and how this all added up to a grudge match at AEW's first ever pay-per-view, Double or Nothing, in 2019.

For the sake of everybody's time; the decision was made to cut out some interviews and announcements, and just to focus on segments that flowed best with the story.

ā€œI donā€™t need a partnerā€¦ I donā€™t need a friendā€¦ I NEED my older brother.ā€ Every time I see it, my heart melts and makes me wanna cry. Truly one of the most beautiful moments in wrestling of all time.

That Cody answer to Dustin is gold. One of the most underrated promos in all AEW history

Dustin's story of finding his own gimmick and not be his father is almost mirrored by Cody in him trying to find who he was and not be his brother. Seeing how both Dustin and Cody have gotten over is amazing to see. Definitely wrestling royalty.

Alot of people sleep on dustin. He stayed relevant longer then most.he managed to adapt everything the business changed.and he managed to stay a fan favorite in a time where if you were outside the main event you were in danger of being forgotten. Noone will ever forget the name.......Goldust

The amount of blood was extraordinary. Dustin channeled his father. I remember Dusty bleeding a couple of times but Dustinā€™s was so thick at times it looked chunky. Itā€™s almost a guarantee that many people in the arena were disturbed by this match. I canā€™t remember another match that stained the mat so badly with blood. Dustin did a great thing for his brother but it was nice to see Cody end the night on a high note.

Dropmick, you are putting out some excellent content. A great way to tell stories is to let them tell themselves. With this and the Punk doc, you have really hit the nail on the head with that.

Man , if only AEW could have kept everything serious like this like the sports based product they promised , I guarantee you their ratings would be higher at this point in time . But anyways , what a match and angle this was . Tremendous job on this documentary as well .

This is why I love wrestling. Decades of story, spread about different companies, all part of the history of those brothers and part of this one match. The Stardust taunt, the (almost) Shattered Dreams from Goldust, the Figure Four and the reversal, just like Dusty Rhodes and Flair and so much more, all in this match. This match made me very emotional. I love wrestling!

I have never seen a AEW match in my entire life. I never have access to what ever provider they are on. But thank you for this moment. This is by far the best thing I have ever seen in the last 20 years in wrestling and I am a WWE fan lol this. Was. Goat. Wow. I just loved it. Thanks again for the exposure
