Wow, Fender gave you one as well. Review vids for this thing are dropping like rain in my recommendations today.

Still rocking my Zoom G5n I got for $300 back in 2017. Digital effects definitely have their place. 95% of the tone as the real thing, but wayyy more convenient in so many ways.

To some its a tool, to me its a never ending exploration of sound. I'm just glad Fender sent it to Mary. Beautifully presented Sweet MS x

As someone who plays and sings at the same time with tracks, this seems like it was built for me but there’s one issue I have. The price is $1699 USD which is honestly way more than this should be. A price that large really keeps it out of the hands of people who would really enjoy it and get the most use out of it. EDIT: Thanks to everyone responding. My main issue with Fender here is their focus on making a profit instead of selling it at a reasonable price that working musicians can afford. The manufacturing cost of this has to be at least half of the sale price. I realistically could have just as good sound from a laptop and interface for less. The reason I would prefer the Fender unit over that is for the form factor. They could maintain build and software quality for a much cheaper price but choose profits instead. Not to mention their staff is overworked and underpaid so none of these profits are going to benefit the workers in any way.

I used to play electric guitar in a band with friends back in high school. I had bought a Line6 Pod Pro, their big pod with foot switches etc. It was similar to this (probably less good sounding tho, you could hear the "digital" aspect of it). Unfortunately, I haven't even touched my electric guitar in years. But watching this video really made me fall back into those memories of fiddling with my Pod pro for hours and hours. And I feel like I should pick my guitar up again. I'm sure it would be good for my spirit. In any case, great singing. I loved this moment of nostalgia and music you offered me!

Beautiful. Amazing. Imagining how technology, digital technology, signal processing has come a long way over the years. The decades. I am an electrical engineer (retired) who started in the days of floppy disks and basic electronics and controls. Imagining the days of Tom Scholz and the images in his mind when he built the cool things he did. Another great video of you getting excited and geeking out. Aloha!

I love your voice (smooth) and your guitar playing style. Your bass line playing and unique leads and chords intertwining together for a brilliant sound that is uniquely you! I will also check out this Fender Pedalboard to see what it can do. I too write and play music and have recently gone to digital DAW from analog recording. Big leap for me! It is definitely a rabbit hole of leaning... well, Keep playing, keep pumping out your original songs and keep pushing your level of comfort in order to learn and grow...

Had a similar experience when I switched from my traditional pedalboard to an HX Effects. Yeah I mostly use a couple of sounds but when I'm working on a song and telling me "what if I put some spring reverb and some vintage-like vibrato" I don't have to run to a shop, I just browse the available effects, pick one I like and go with it. Something really cool also that I like to do is making a preset per song so that I don't have to think about what pedals should I turn on or off, which knobs to turn, etc. And for shows, I just put all the preset in the right order so I don't need to tape a setlist to the floor...

Curious at the Fender thing - then you started to sing your song. My word - you're so gifted and professional. Thank you, you made my day.

My brother in law rocks a Helix, I was blown away by the versatility… Looking forward to hearing what you come up with Mary. I’d buy an EP/album of Mary just noodling about on this new bit of kit.

This seems like a perfect tool for the bedroom recording artist or someone who wants to tour out of a compact car. If the venue has a PA, you can literally walk in with a guitar over one shoulder and this in the other hand, plug in and start playing.

I just saw the ad for this in my email from Fender yesterday, and I also was blown away with this. I own a Fender Mustang GTX 100 amp, which has a lot of this technology built into my amp. But this is the next level and in a stand alone unit that you can take anywhere and plug into anthing, but still have all your effects, your amps, your mics, your cabs, tuner, and looper, anywhere. It's not cheap, but it is priced well below some of the other similar units by other manufacturers. I don't need this, but of course I want it! LOL

Pretty impressive and it looks like you've had it for a year, the way you were navigating through it. You are a truly unique and gifted artist. Much respect!

I bought an HX Stomp a little over a year ago. As someone who was a die hard analogue guy, it took some getting used to, but as a singer songwriter who plays solo a lot, I find myself wishing I had gotten the full Helix. Having a mic input is super nice.
