This song brought me right back to being 15 and meeting my soul mate. I could feel the butterflies all over again just thinking about him. Thank you so much for transporting me back to such a special time. He passed away in a wrestling accident when I was 20. A few months after my mom had passed. It was the worst year of my life when I lost him. I went numb and didn’t process any of it. I’m 38 now and haven’t been in a relationship like that since. I’ve been married and have a son, but even that marriage wasn’t the same as the love I had with him. It’s hard to put that feeling into words. It’s an emotion you can’t verbalize. But the lyrics and the instruments together, it was something special. A perfect balance. It was just the right speed to listen and actually hear those lyrics, to process them and get the emotions flowing but not slow to the point it’s dragging on and you can’t wait to hear the next lyric. I wanted to savor each verse and be in that moment, the entire song. I don’t know how you ended up on my recommended, I rarely watch music on here, but I am so glad you did.
