To me this song is about the change of leaving high school and going off to university, maybe that’s just me projecting my experience right now. When I first listened to this song I thought my graduation would be a lot different than it turned out. I wish I could see and be with my friends before we all go our separate ways, one last time.

Okay. I first listened to this song back in December-ish 2019. Life was good then, not really too much to worry about. No lockdown, meeting friends, talking to my crush, the works. I was obsessed with this song back then. Then covid happened, along with that pressure from school, parents and stuff. Today I listened to this song after god knows how long. It felt like I was back to the Pre-covid era, just enjoying life. Sloan probably doesn't check his comments, and definitely doesn't reply, but I just wanna thank him for a gem of an album he's put out with Fuzzybrain.

This is very reassuring of hope, and the need to calm down amidst all the troubles, pain, depression, and challenges. "We're in the real world now"; Perhaps being strong is a requirement to continue on, and knowing youre not alone is a huge assurance we'll be alright.
