That whole hog guy... Everybody loving his food, working like crazy and serving the food with a proud smile, and stil looking a bit insecure when the reporter takes hit first bite. "is he gonna like my food?"... Thats humility right there:)

That was the realest shit ever when the whole hog guy was talking about why he keeps that style. He'd rather not cook BBQ at all if he's not doing it in the method traditional to his family and home town. Living in the deep South myself, the stubbornness of people on other issues can be frustrating, but when it's applied to something like this: a craft honoring history and tradition, it can be so beautiful.

I'm just astonished how incredibly honest everyone here seems to be. The whole hog guy, Helen. Everyone.

I don't know why but the dude @8:34 gives me the chills. He is like "say one bad thing about the food and you will find yourself on my smoker".

The 2nd and 3rd ones are so damn humble, showing that real southern hospitality. Always nice to see people like that.

Wow that gentleman has got an amazing voice. Him singing and his wife Helen cooking and serving BBQ is a great combination. This couple work so hard, long hours everyday, hard work makes the team work.

17:30 that's how a restaurant is supposed to run. "How's your boss?" -"I love him" that was sincere. Well fucking done, Munchies. This is how people need to view the service industry. It's not all greed and angry chefs.

I am from Tennessee and I love all the people he meets. The second man is a true native Tennesseean and all the barbecue that he serves is lust like what you can find in Nashville and west. It is really cool.

The more I see about America's food culture, the more I want to travel there and do something like a road trip around the country!

I love people who are absurdly passionate about their work. Those people are the most important.

Tom is an amazing host. He seems very genuine in all of his interactions, which shines through in the unscripted conversations. The bbq looks divine.

I love how the owner of Rendezvous gave homage to the slaves for their role in pioneering American bbq. β€πŸ‘Œ
