Rockstar needs to release a new Midnight Club game. These games are definitely for guys that appreciate cars.

Who would’ve thought we would be in 2022 wishing games to be as good as games in 2005

this game came out at the height of car mod culture. Old schools, SUV's, foreigns, tuners, anything u wanted they did

Mannie fresh's Big was so hype. "Push that button microwave oven" bars lol. one of things that I liked about this game that it has pedestrians surprisingly nobody got hurt and everyone jumped out of the way in time but it was great it really made the world feel alive

Not only cultural, this was a certified hood classic, all the midnight club games, nothing but fire, the best casual racing game series ever made imo

This game Burnout 3 and Most Wanted were my childhood when it came to racing games. Your enthusiasm really resonated with me, this was a truly great game. I actually have bought it three times over the years. The first was a gift and the second one I bought a couple of years later because as a kid I scratched the first disk. The third time I bought it was about 10 years ago, from PSN on PS3. This game deserved it. In 2019 I 100% the storyline for the first time on my original PS2. I can't describe the feelings I felt that day. A dream of a young me came true.

You just had to be there. Sure you can play the game now, but having and playing it during that time was something special. Best racing game hands down. Such great memories. I miss the 00s.

Just finished replaying the remix on the Playstation 2. Just as fun as I remember and it brings me back to when the AI racers were actually challenging

It's one of those masterpieces that no matter how many times you replay it, you'd never get tired of it.

I memorized every single race on midnight club 2 for the ps2 because i never owned a memory card. So every morning i would start career mode from the beginning and play all day until one day i beat the whole game. Hahah good times

People never talk about how amazing online was in this game. Anybody that's heard of the real midnight club will know it was all about motorway racing. There was a motorway went round the entire map in this game, n online anybody that was big into the game wouldn't drive around the city or do events, they would head straight to the motorway. Ya would drive around for couple mins on you're own until ya came across another player driving up ahead. Then use would have a 200+mph motorway race through traffic etc just like the real midnight club. Most people didn't use mics back then so use would communicate and start race's by flashing the headlights, gave it an extra real feel tho cause in real life you don't chat with the other driver.. use flash lights then race lol Also one of the first games that let online players customise cars to that extent.

There is a very specific feeling which is exclusive to this game. You're down to a final club race which you've been grinding for hours because of how insanely hard it is. The race starts. You're blasting off at blinding speeds, drifting around highways, not knowing what was coming around the corner, and not caring either. Because you just need to finish the race. The exhiliration of needing to go faster because the other racers are right on your tail, no matter what you do. Even though you know the race layout like the back of your hand, you're hyper-focused because the map has no boundries; one misplaced turned and it's all over. Finally, after manuvering winding roads, slippery opponents, and a swarm of oncoming traffic, you see the red blip on your mini map. There it is. The red flare. You go through. The controller drops. You slunk back as the post-race stats roll in. The adrenaline runs thtough your veins like it'll never stop. After every thing is done, you just want to cruise around and bask in your victory. Yeah, it's a really specific feeling only those who've played the game can understand.

I remember playing this game on ps2 it was painfully fun, painfully as in the sense of it being hard but fun for its intensity I wish rockstar makes another midnight club game or at least put all of their midnight club games on next gen

God I love the IS300, to think the car was already featured in a racing game as a tuner when it was still in its production life. 2000’s was a crazy time I wish I could experienced longer

So unfortunate that R* didn't port Midnight Club 3 and Midnight Club LA to PC, the games would still be alive! btw, Midnight Club LA just needed a couple graphic mods to look as good as recent games.

This game was my childhood, I still boot it up on PCSX2 and beat the story every now and then. Twista- Sunshine is a classic song. I think my copy got stolen by movers though.. too bad. I’m so grateful I grew up in this gaming era.
