How to reverse age-related hair loss: Neera Nathan, M.D. | Clean Beauty School Podcast

“When we age our whole body ages. What happens is our cells just get tired and stop working as well as they used to. The hair follicle is no different,” says board-certified dermatologist Neera Nathan, M.D. “It’s a collection of cells, and after a while they start to deplete. Eventually our hair follicles just aren’t as able to grow hair as well, just as our skin isn’t quite as able to regenerate collagen the way it did when it was younger.” In this episode of Clean Beauty School, mindbodygreen beauty director and host Alexandra Engler chats with Nathan about how nutrition affects hair health, how to reverse graying, common causes of thinning, and more.

What about CaAkg and grey hair changing to black hair? Does AAkg the same? I use Vitamine A night cream on one side of my fase for four weeks now. I do not see much thickening of the skin (70 years old), but it looks like the eyebrow on the right side (with vit. A) is thickening and more pigmented. Would this also have the same effect on the top of my head?

i'm sorry for asking something so awkward and off-topic. i'm not an american. english is not even my first language (more like third). why does the lovely MD keeps talking with every sentence intonation going up? every sentence sounds like a question by intonation. it sound like there is no "period" at the end of the sentence, only "question mark" even if logically i can understand it was supposed to have a . at the end, not a ? , and, naturally, i just want to ask - is that some sort of american dialect/accent consistent with a certain part of the USA? i heard southern accent, i heard NY accent, i think i heard chicago accent probably. i have heard such way of speaking before, but am wondering which part of USA does it come from? or is it just something individual? again, i apologize for my stupid question which is not related to the topic of this interesting video. thank you.

The "expert" should not have to READ her answer. And, she should not know the question beforehand. The video is half over, and still not talking about gray hair.

Stop parting your hair in the middle. Give your hair a break
