As long as we're referencing Free Guy, we've got to include Horton Hears a Who, where a town full of people, who just happened to be living on a speck of dust on top of a clover shouted, "We are here!" Examples exist all throughout the culture of devalued and minimized people, underdogs, getting run over for the convenience of others, championed by the good guys. These examples exist because it's part of the better angels of our nature to overcome the brutish impulse to bottom-line everything and beat each other out, in favor of lifting each other up. More basic than that, it's in the species to propagate and not destroy the most innocent among us, or as the old saying goes, "Don't eat your seed corn," destroying your future for the sake of temporary gain. More basic than all of that is what Pascal called a God-shaped void in the human heart. We know it's wrong to devalue human life, including that of our helplessly small and innocent progeny. Proponents of abortion overcome all that by exploiting the human need to blame others for our own woes, and coupled with the natural tendency to kick at imposed restraints, convincing their dupes that if it's a restraint, it must be wrong and not what they want. Using tools such as these, they've not only made it a supposed virtue in modern society to not impose a limit on obvious murder, but they've even successfully overturned the maternal instinct in many women's hearts. Abominable! This speaker's good. I haven't heard of him, but I will be looking up more of his work. Because it's up to all of us to protect the innocent among us, to save our society from the cliff the other side wants to drive us all over, and to heal hurting hearts from the vicious ideologies of the enemy.
