This song is so remarkable. It reminds me of the time I came out of the closet and my parents bundled me out for that. And somehow, I was living out in the streets and when I used to go to a nightclub in the countryside where I lived back then, they used to play those sad songs with the type of beat that could make us dance like crazy but the lyrics would make us think about some miserable moments in our lives.
At that time, I used to think and pray for God to help me get out of mysery and pull me through. It hurts so bad to listen to this song. It reminds me of the promises that were made, the people in my family I trusted and loved so much who turned their backs to me... Great job, Sam! It's LGBT old school vibes in it. It's a bittersweet moment for me. I can't wait for me to have a chance to attend a concert of yours here in Brazil. I'm a huge fan!
