Time goes by
I don't know why
I would ever let you hurt me
Look me in the eye
Tell a little lie
Let me know you won't desert me
One last night
In the moonlight
Wouldn't do another if I could
Hold me tight
Make it feel right
Leave and never say
Goodbye, bye, bye
I'll never let you have me
Past tonight, night, night
Some kind of temporary love
Before the time runs out
I'm gonna let you down
Might be a man on Mars
Before I need you again
If you had let me know
That you had loved me so
This wouldn't seem so hard
Can we let it end?
Time goes by
I don't know why
You would ever let me hurt you
Look you in the eye
Tell a little lie
That you know I don't deserve you
Feed the fire
Take me higher
One last dance till we die
One desire
I'll deny it
Leave before I change my
Mind, mind, mind
I'll never let you have me
Past tonight, night, night
Some kind of temporary love
Before the time runs out
I'm gonna let you down
Might be a man on Mars
Before I need you again
If you had let me know
That you had loved me so
This wouldn't seem so hard
Can we let it end?
Time goes by
I don't know why I would ever let you hurt me (Oh)
Before the time runs out
I'm gonna let you down
Might be a man on Mars
Before I need you again
If you had let me know
That you had loved me so
This wouldn't seem so hard
Can we let it end?
Time goes by
I don't know why
I would ever let you hurt me
Look me in the eye
Tell a little lie
Let me know you won't desert me
One last night
In the moonlight
Wouldn't do another if I could
Hold me tight
Make it feel right
Leave and never say goodbye

considering that Charlie was at least 10 years old when The Living Tombstone was formed, he probably grew up listening to TLT, so this put be a childhood dream fufilled for Charlie. I bet the song will sound amazing
(Edit: IT DOES SOUND AMAZING, I LOVED EVERY SECOND OF IT. AND OMG CG5 REPLIED, I'M ACTUALLY REALLY HAPPY RIGHT NOW, TYSM!!)

Gotta say, idk who Cg5 is, however color me intrigued.
His performance here was extraordinary, and i obviously dont know what i have been missing.
Also, it's really cool to see Vylet Pony slowly gain in popularity. And Vylet's musical talent has been getting significantly better and better as the years go by.
And The Living Tombstone? Only natural for them to release a fantastic piece here.
To everyone involved in this piece, keep on doing what you're doing, y'all are amazing

This song is filled with lore. Just from the surface, people are leaving earth because climate change really got things to get hot. Now everywhere there are ads about leaving earth and moving to different planets. But listening to the lyrics you can tell that, cg5 is two different characters. At the very beginning he is earth. And then when he says "leaving never sayin' goodbye" he is now "the man on mars". So basically, the earth wants the humans to be on earth, wich is kinda counterintuitive since they are polluting the earth. There is alot of evidence that this is a love relationship. Strongest being at 0:43 where there is a tinder like app and the user is scrolling through the people most fitting, but skips earth. Another fact mentioned by "Savvy The Divine Yet Huggable": at 1:32 there is a text at the below the moon saying: "* * Face your guilt every day" And above that text there is a text saying "maybe the moon!?* *" meaning that by being on the moon you are facing your guilt. And guess who we are facing on the moon: The earth. So the earth is our guilt and that explains the toxic relationship between the earth and the humans.
The more I think about it, the more it seems like "the man on mars" is fighting himself to not go back to earth, even though he really want's to. There are two stages of the man on mars. One stage is where he doesn't give a care about earth and a stage where he is almost desperate to go back to earth. Like when he says "Leave before I change my mind." That would explain why there is this VR headset all about seeing earth, while on mars. I assume it's the early version of earth, where the relationship was good. aka you could still live on it. Because our earth can't be replaced. It's the perfect planet for humans, for now. . . at least.
Tell me what you think.

“I’m gonna let you down” in the chorus? Did TLT and CG5 rickrolled us? (dababy move 1:29)

The song "Temporary Love" appears to be about a fleeting, insincere relationship that is doomed to fail. The narrator is aware of this and doesn't want to invest too much emotionally, hence the term "temporary love." They seem to have been hurt by their partner in the past and are hesitant to trust them again. The chorus emphasizes this feeling of transience, with the narrator wanting to end things before it's too late and they get hurt again.
There is a potential connection to the online multiplayer game Among Us in the line "Look me in the eye, tell a little lie." In the game, players take on the roles of crewmates on a spaceship and must work together to identify and eject any impostors on board. The impostors must lie and deceive the other players in order to win. This line could be interpreted as a reference to the game's central mechanic of deception and betrayal. The narrator is asking their partner to be honest with them, but they know that they might not be able to trust what they're being told.
Overall, the song portrays a sense of resignation and inevitability about the end of the relationship. Despite this, the narrator still wants to hold on to some sense of intimacy and connection, even if it's only temporary. The game Among Us could be seen as a metaphor for the deceptive nature of relationships, where trust is a fragile and easily broken commodity.
