I can't say I necessarily hate Engage, because aesthetically I love it and the characters but the emblem ring mechanic didn't draw me in. I got about 3/4 of the way in and I put it down. Tried to open it back up and was like, "I dunno..." and I put it back down again. lol Dude, if you love a good story and writing then you're gonna love the Ike/Tellius games when you finally get to them. And the Binding Blade is probably my overall favorite, it screws up so many little things but feels so perfect and fun in every other way. It's funny too I'm a huge Super Famicom fan and FE fan, but the Super Famicom FE games just look incredibly unappealing to me. Maybe eventually I'll get to them, but Thracia 776 just sounds wholly aggravating and awful.

Genealogy of the holy war and path of radiance are S tier for me. Engage is both great and terrible : the gameplay is great (it's maddening mode is perfectly built), the story is trash.

My favorites are Awakening, Foldlan games, and Telius games. Enagage is pretty fun for me. The rest are just meh for me but conquest story is better.
