The Stones "forgotten album". So many people hated it. Critics said it was junk. I loved it and especially Citadel, cranked full volume! Off to the land of Oz!

Great tune - the guitar riff and skirling sax really make it. Cool lyrics, too.

If Jones had recovered from his alcoholism and lived on it’s likely the Stones would have had him back as a session musician.

Mick was in his "tattered minstrel" phase when he did this in '67. One of the best tunes off of Satanic Majesties.

Excerpt from the cursed album of the Rolling Stones, after the death of Brian Jones. Yet it's the most accomplished, touching on the other dimension. The riff is flawless. Rare. And stunning

I was listening to two Zoomers who love The Stones discuss this album. They love it. Although they agreed that The Stones were right to return to basics, they wished they could have done one more psychodelia album. I agree. Mick and Keith dismiss TSMR. They shouldn't. This song's an example of why. When I was a kid in the late 70s, I used to play the hell out of this. It obviously crosses generations.

Bad bass note at 2:18. but Wyman is such a badass he doesn't even care. "You'll take it and you'll like it. Or else."

Great album and Brian Jones's last hurrah. He would do a bit on Beggers Banquet but this would be his last true contribution to The Stones. Too bad he could not keep it together.
