I was 17, saw a lot of these artists in concerts. The 60s era was the best of times and music.

I turned 12 in 1967 and started listening to the radio. I remember Light My Fire was played for 8 or 9 months. People couldnt get enough of it.

I was five in 1967, but with five older brothers and sisters, I grew up listening to this music. I still love it, nearly sixty years later.

I was 12 at the time, my older brother really kept up with music. Remember on Saturday going to Tower Records and buying 45's. I remember the older kids worried about being drafted and some where. 2 guys in the neighbor hood never made it back. Had 2 cousins drafted and the made it back, but one never really came never came back.

1967 was a great year for me. Beautiful girl, good job, good friends...until December when I got my draft notice. Couldn't make the 1968 Indy 500 and the job offer from the Milwaukee Road railroad...but the music was great...

My mom wasn't even born yet, but this for me has been the best time for music, everyone creating their own sound. They will live on for centuries, real music never die, and great artist will never be forgotten. It takes time to really appreciate this kind of music, but once you do you never look back. Kind of sad there will never ever be this kind of artists, New music is disposable and meaningless. This will forever be the greateast time for music. Never replicated
