ariel, your songs give off so much strength to those all struggling with anything, and everybody is. Anyone that says they never struggle are lying. It doesn't matter who you are, where you come from, what you have, how you look, who you are in any shape or form, everyone struggles with something and that's ok to admit. what doesn't seem like a big deal to one person, it's life and death to another person. It's all in how an individual person perceives something. you aren't 'screwed up' for having your individual thoughts and feelings on something. YOU are and individual and you can feel what you feel without there needing to be a reason for it and that's ok. no one has to be able to see that you're tearing yourself up inside your head. Ariel really shows that you don't need to hide it until it brings you to life or death. this song brings so much strength to fight it all and come back to yourself and take control.

I don't know if you will read this after two years, but as a recovered alcoholic, I thank you. This song says so much that most will never understand. I know the person that wrote this suffered their own, or had someone close that did. It also calls out that once an addict, always an addict and that every single day is another battle for yourself, and that every day you survive is another victory.
Keep up the good fight. Now, and forever.

Ok... But can we talk about how gorgeous this music video is? Not just visually speaking, but also referring to the message behind the visuals. Rel was being held back by her struggles with her mental health. Shawn was drowning in addiction. I feel like they were slipping through the cracks in each other's grips.
The labels were overwhelming. They were so worried about the labels that they never focused on getting well.
The POWER I felt when Rel woke up at the end. And when she and Shawn were performing together. There's something indescribably beautiful about seeing them together, healing at the end of their storms.

I am so happy they chose this song! It's just crazy relatable for me, anxiety and depression are a daily struggle and I hate that people think if you have certain things you shouldn't BE anxious or depressed, I hate that there's STILL a stigma around mental health and that we slipped so bad in helping those in need during COVID-19. I know it's been said to death, but I SO needed this album in 2021, I can't stop listening to the whole thing over and over.
