So a $18 meal in a restaurant goes up about $2. So what. Wife and I eat out once week.
So the person who wants to eat out doesn’t want to spend and the person in the restaurant can’t afford to eat out either.
So basically, the person who doesn’t want to pay more to eat out needs crap waged people to serve them food to be happy?
I made $8 a hour my senior year in 1990 after graduation. Feel free to key that number in to an inflation calculator to see what it should be today.

The first step was to make sure the kids in public schools were uneducated on how American Capitalism works; then as those same kids grew up into young adults they knew not what they were doing by asking for wages in job sectors that were never meant to be a career. So this will only lead to more automation which means less jobs with even higher prices overall in the economy. They will now learn the hard way that you can keep raising those minimum wages and you will remain poor as prices rise with your inflated wages.

Here in Colorado, not close to 20.00 yet, but new and renovated places are getting kiosks. I have no issues using them, and those places are the cleanest places because the workers they have, keep the place clean
