Completely left out some HUGE AWESOME PARTS! The opera had to make a rule that she couldn't date her coworkers because she was killing too many of them over honor disputes, that's when she snuck into the ball as a man and won duals against several men and women in the nearby park (since the house throwing the ball refused to let them hold an illegal dual there). She escaped from prison twice, one time stealing the prison carriage. She went to another country and started teaching the Emperor's children how to fence until the Empress began thinking she was having an affair with the Emperor. For once, she wasn't, she was having an affair with the princess, who she ran away with back to France (where she was still wanted for multiple dual killings). She got the Princess a job at the opera house and went to the King to get another pardon. He basically responded, "Who wants a pardon? Oh, that Opera singer I used to like?" The princess was returned to her country and La Maupin escaped prison and ran back to her dad's boss. She then fell in love with his daughter until that girl died. This was at age 24, when La Maupin stated she could not go on living without her one true love. It was years later, after recovering from her depression when she finally reconnected with her official husband whose first mate/business partner (and we think his boyfriend) had gone to a different sailing company. Then she got to live a boring life.

The part at 3:55 kills me every time, how she quickly kills the guys who want to challenge her is just so hilarious! Awesome voice acting!

Note: I take digs at the French in this video, but don't let that fool you into thinking I don't recognize their historical resilience! In the same way someone telling a "yo mama so fat" joke doesn't actually think your mom is fat, I don't actually think that the French are weak. While I strive for historical accuracy, I also strive for comedy. So I told some jokes, and they are just that, jokes!
