Rolling Stones magazine named "Melodrama" as the 7th best album of the 2010's, citing that the album has some of the best songwriting of the decade. I totally agree. At some point, I wish Lorde would release a compilation of all her song lyrics so that all of us can appreciate how damn fine her songs are, even without the music.

I miss Lorde. I remember I was addicted to all of her songs two years ago and up to her melodrama album. I found myself lucky as I become one of her fan in a place where Lorde is not that popular and only known for the royals. I remember being sad and melodrama is with me during my sad times and then pure heroine when reflecting about any mistakes I made. And now I must say that Lorde influences and made me a writer too through appreciating and seeing a view in another perspective because of her. Thank you Lorde you give me a life I didn't expect. I miss you and your songs.

āIām the kind of musician who works on something and doesnāt even need to put it outājust make it and pop it in a vault, I make work to challenge myself. The process is very much about me having a conversation with myself. Itās a very private process, and so I feel like Iāve run a marathon by the time it comes out. I do love that people hear the work; I think I would be sad if people didnāt.ā

This song is a masterpiece. I've been listening to it regularly ever since its release, and it never fails to move me and make me tear up. Such a gift to have the ability to express what so many people feel when someone leaves them. Lorde is so incredible, and I'm so grateful to have lived at the same time as she is releasing music.
