i feel the reason conservatives don't really understand humour, is that they don't understand the concept of self-deprecation or the absurdity of the human condition. They seem to be so wrapped up in their own sense of self-importance and superiority. Their idea of 'funny', is ridicule of anyone who is not like them. When black people were denied access to Hollywood in any meaningful capacity, they had their own theaters and own independent industry pop up to get movies into those theaters. And eventually Hollywood noticed and realized they were actually good and it helped break down barriers.
Ben Shabibo and the Daily Wire have plenty of money to make alternative content. They just can't accept they suck at it. Apolitical films are generally action movies. The Daily Wire can't even get that right. They can't even make a Christmas movie that competes with the Hallmark chanel. Kevin Smith has been making bad movies with millions in profit for decades on much smaller budgets. He was Judd Apatow before Judd Apatow took over the genre of comedy with a heart and a brain. You don't need the machine of Hollywood to make independent films that get people to flock to theaters.
