I like some of Millennia's ideas, but I do have a couple issues with it.
1. Graphics, I'm not a huge proponent of amazing graphics, but some parts really do look a couple decades out of date
2. Speeding ahead in science is a problem in pretty much all 4x games and I don't think Millenia has solved that, in fact it might be worse here than in other games.
3. The fact that you always have to "reset" to a regular age after every unusual age is rather disappointing.

ive seen some rather themed playthroughs of going with the spirits of "Mound builders", Machinery (for that sweet sweet iron prospector and well just creating previous just generic mines into gold or iron mines) and other engineering feats. the Inventors. i guess the age of Aether or the age of Utopia (which has been revealed to be rather like Bioshock society under the sea). and i guess just going for an age of trancendence. to trancende the mortal plane useing innovation and engineering. for wars might be won with warfare, but if you can build up armies faster then you win alot faster too.
