This guy is hands down one of the most prolific,ethereal ,imaginative singer songwriters of the last fifteen years. There is something magic about how this man delivers a song. I can count on one hand the artists I still fan-boy over. Sufjan is right up there at the top.

1 year ago today. This trailer changed my life. I remember listening to it the first time thinking how hopeful the sound was. A week later I started a new job that allowed me to have the opportunity to visit Portland, Oregon. Drove two hours to cottage grove during the weekend to visit the Opal Whitley mural. What an an experience.. Thank you Sufjan.

I turn 60 in May of this year . I discovered Sufjan quite by accident a couple of years ago as I was walking past a theater in Boston . There was a large crowd of young men and women going to see a concert . Someone I have never heard of before . I had some time on my hands and thought what the hell ... let me see if I can score a ticket .. what have I got to lose ? I can always leave if it's something awful .
