I think the reason this music reminds us of anime is because they were both technically beginning to flourish around the same era. Most 80's/90's anime was probably even inspired by some of these songs, who knows. I mean, even the anime intros were like this back then. The whole thing is such a vibe.

FINALLY MORE PEOPLE ARE ENJOYING CITYPOP <3
Edit: You all don't have to tell me that I'm "late" simply for expressing how happy I am that the genre is gaining more mainstream attention. I've actually loved Citypop for years now and it's 90% of what I listen to on the regular. I just think that it's awesome that more people are discovering such a gem of entertainment. Also, as a person who has grown up black, I am fully aware that specific albums/tracks take inspiration from our sound and other stylings of western culture. To sum it up, I find it really exciting that an interest I have is gaining more attention from like-minded people who appreciate it as much as I do! It's all good fun! :)

i dont know whats with japan but its just.. everything about it is love-able and everything is just great. i never felt this way about other countries but japan rlly is something else. their aesthetics,fashion,music,language,villages. i hope before i die i get to visit that country and finally get peace .
