About 84 million years ago, during the Cretaceous period, half of Alabama was completely under an inland sea called the Western interior seaway. Because of this, you can find marine fossils such as shark teeth, mosasaur teeth, and even dinosaur fossils here. In this video, my friend and I head out to see what kind of fossils we can find on this prehistoric seabed.

I live in NE Mississippi. There's a creek near me that I have personally found over 200 teeth in about 4 hrs of digging and sifting in the sandbars! I've narrowed down to within 5-10 miles where the coastline had to have been at one time! You don't find any north of a certain point!
