Saw the music video version like a week ago after I got home from a ketamine therapy session trying to deal with treatment resistant depression. I heard this before on the radio but didn't realize this song wasn't about someone else. It helped me to turn and confront myself. Helped me understand that I really love myself and I'm simply heartbroken at how others have treated me. I'm a musician and I'm a father. This "song" is about me. This "song" called life I'm living is my dream and my vision. I would never have treated myself so poorly and I'm going to stop compromising myself trying to appease people who have essentially addressed my will in a way that had me convinced I had no value and that my life was not worth living. Don't lose sight of yourself because YOU are the love of YOUR life.
