If they made a spiritual sequel to the very first Tony Hawks Underground, with a fully customized protagonist, more realistic, with similar ideas to this, only a more streamlined and accessible control base. With a whole in depth and fleshed out story campaign. That shit would sell gang busters today.

One of my favorite platinums was from this game for sure. The worst achievement was the grind distance one. But overall this is the best skate game out right now.

I had to choose between skater xl or session. I chose session based on how little time I need to deticate to it to have fun. So yes while skater xl might look and feel better with the usage of mods, session is just better because you don't need to install anything to get it to a playable level. You just buy the game and enjoy it even with the default stats

Session is a nice game to either pick up and play or sink hours is. I haven't touched Skater XL in about 3 years now because dev support is non-existent and get's stale really quick. And from my perspective, if you have to add a couple dozen mods to make a game good, then I don't really feel the product is good. To each their own tho I suppose.

I started with XL and bought session in beta. As a console player it’s not even close. Session lets me skate how I want, gives me more of a realistic feel be it the setting adjustments and just how the game is built. For console XL has been dead. Session is actually getting updates/patches, the paying for maps isn’t ideal but the DLC is at least affordable. However, I’d love for DLC to be another city, like Chicago or something and give me all the spots like the 3 cities we get in game. It does get free content as well as we saw with the TMNT. Overall they seem to care about the game more. Bounce glitch still annoying af tho.

I’ve only played up until like the third post tutorial mission or so and it’s clearly the most realistic skate experience. It’s half dope cuz it’s so real and half annoying cuz it’s not easy to just play smoothly and fuck around. Nothings gonna feel more satisfying tho. I’m not mad it’s super dope. As soon as I saw that one analog stick is one foot I knew it’d be tight

Been a big XL player since alpha, but recently session has just been easier and fun to play, no mods, loads up quick I think people truly just need to give session a chance

Also if you download session mod manager you can download more maps including a great remake of Easy Day High school which is awesome to play on session

I have so much trouble doing a basic nollie with thar setting.
when I push RS up, I randomly nose manual instead of leaning forward. It's so confusing and frustrating.
Is it my controller being broken, or do you guys have the same problem?
Is there a setting for joystick sensitivity or something like so? I really don't understand how to make the difference between preparing a nollie and doing a nose manual since it's the exact same move. (pushing RS up)
English not being my language I hope to be clear.
Please help. I really want to love session but I can't only because of this little fun breaking problem. Nollie tricks are my thing.

I haven’t played skater since sessions came out. Got sessions on pc for mods and I think Ima go back to skater for the mods

From a viewer's perspective. I have to say it's more entertaining to watch you play Session than SkaterXL. You also seem to enjoy it more than SkaterXL. I haven't played either in a while and hopped back on them earlier and even though I will always have a love for SkaterXL, I just enjoy Session more as that was what I wanted initially out of SkaterXL and got through mods. Once Session became playable on a fun level about 2 years ago. I've played almost strictly Session. I wish both games nothing but the best though!
