One of those albums you come back to.... I'm now in my late 20's. Good job, not a whole lot to complain about in my life with the exception of some things. But I can't seem to shake this overwhelming feeling of darkness and sadness, and this album encapsulates that 100%. I just saw citizen live at when we were young in las vegas a few weeks ago and it was surreal. The feeling with everyone around me screaming every word, all the emotion, all completely real... Made me not feel so alone for a moment. This band is something I can't even put to words. I am struggling so badly and have been for awhile now, except the difference now between when I was young is that I don't have a whole lot to really be sad about but... I am. And as much as I try, I still am. Listening to this album gives me so much sadness and hurt yet so much nostalgia and yearning for a time that I once wished I was out of, to now only wish I was right back there...
Anyways, this is one of the best records of all time. Timeless, encapsulating, perfection. Enjoying in late 2023. Cheers everyone.

"The Night I drove Alone" Β I wonder how some people interpret that song to themselves. Makes me realize how more alone I can feel sometimes. The song hits me in spiritual somewhat delirious way. I crashed the the car and I lived. I couldn't find her because shes a ghost. I couldn't get in tune and find her. 500 miles and a few signs they were there but couldn't see her face. Never gonna forget those few nights. I feel like not very many people at all can interpret that much at all. This album is so relevant.

An amazing friend of mine introduced me to this wonderful band and album... Now that she is no longer with us this album brings so much emotions of such wonderful times.
