I think what makes Tame Impala so special is that Kevin doesn’t just make the music by himself, he pours his soul into each song. Every word and beat conveys an emotion that he translates into music. It’s not some catchy lyrics written by some outside songwriter or over repetitive beat to appeal to as many consumers as possible. It’s just him making something that he thinks is really cool and sharing it with us, and that unique aspect to his songs makes him extremely popular.
